"On a bright Monday morning 15 of the academy players met Julian and the other two coaches on pit. We were all looking forward to a packed three day course at Bradfield College.

The course consisted of various fitness sessions; continuous training, station training and pool fitness with Tom from Gekko, to test and improve our stamina. Due to the inconsistent weather, we did spend some of the time in the sports hall nets, completing fielding drills, batting practice and match scenarios.

The evenings were spent playing more cricket! Under the floodlights on the all weather astro, playing with a pink ball, this was to improve our one day bowling. Tight and fuller lines were needed for the bowlers to prevent them from being hit for too many runs. It was a great residential course that everyone thoroughly enjoyed and we benefited from the intense training.

Thank you on behalf of everyone to Julian and the team for an excellent three days."
