Staying at The 4* Dolphin Beach Hotel spend 10 days literally under Table Mountain on this amazing tour. Experince the taste of Crocodile and the pitches of South Africa that make you work for your runs and wickets! Have a look at what the parernts think:

My son & I were fortunate enough to be part of Julian & Sam Wood's first tour to SA with the JWCA in October 2015. My son was 11 and mad keen on cricket, but what I quickly realised was that the tour was about so much more than just the cricket. To watch my son, having to integrate and become team mates with boys he had never met, to have to keep a hotel room in order whilst trying not to lose his key and to be responsible for his belongings at all times were all valuable life lessons that are very difficult to create in any other situation. My wife & I were apprehensive about sending him off but we needn't have been, the partnership between Julian & Sam is so slick after 18 tours that everything works like clockwork. The boys are their priority at all times and even when they're not playing cricket they occupy them at all times - beach football was one of my son's highlights of the tour. They have a simple, but effected formula - Julian is in charge of the cricket and all cricket related matters & Sam everything else. Sam is caring for the boys at all times with a large medical bag never far away and copious amounts of drinks to keep the boys hydrated (plus paracetamol for the parents the morning after!). Finally, the boys get to spend quality time with Julian and it does't take long to realise why International teams are employing him - he is a first class coach and pushes the boys hard whilst encouraging them to just go out and play and to watch how the boys enjoyed all the training, nets and matches was great to see. They all really improved over the tour and bonded like a team that had been together for years. Kieran - who is Julian & Sam's eldest son (17) - also needs a mention as to his role supporting his father. He was a brilliant assistant coach, helping, supporting & encouraging the boys at all times.

A brilliant trip in which my son grew & matured by a year in a week - everything was brilliantly organised and for my son, 'it was the best week of my life'.

Another awesome tour with The JWCA. Mumbai first, this time Cape Town. Kids learned so much about the game on the field and about themselves off it. A skills step change more than matched by burgeoning self confidence. They come home with some fab experiences, memories, new friends and nicknames. A Gary Kirsten guest appearance, crocodile steaks, street artists, 'ipodgate,' I could go on ...but ultimately you can always judge the success of a trip by the spirit of the tour bus. Boy could this one sing and whip whip nae nae!! Top top job and thank you Sam, Woody and Kieran.   Adam McConkeyParent

Fantastic trip to South Africa. My son thoroughly enjoyed himself and the experience of playing matches against a different type of opposition on different types of wickets to those that he's used to is something that he will always remember. The boys were always kept busy with plenty of net practice and specialist fielding drills led by Woody as well as continual on and off the field advice. This is something you simply cannot get with lessons. The boys "lived" cricket the whole time and it was interesting to watch them improve and grow as cricketers over the course of the tour. A truly great experience.”– Brian Reid – Parent

The JWCA South Africa cricket trip is more than just a training tour - its a complete immersion in cricket and SA culture. After 15 years of leading this Academy trip, Woody and Sam have this completely cracked.

The eat, sleep and play cricket schedule combined with South Africa’s passion for cricket and superb coaching, completely inspired our two boys.

We all loved this fun experience and we feel very privileged to have had this opportunity.

The day we arrived home the boys were longing to go back!!”

The cricket tour to South Africa with JWCA was  an amazing experience for myself and my daughter Riva. The tour itself was well organised, well coordinated and allowed the kids on the tour to maximum exposure to cricket in South Africa. The highlight was having met Gary Kirsten, and watching the kids train with him and his coaches, A once in a lifetime experience!

Woody and Keiran were truly devoted to the kids, they were professional in their jobs as coaches and good mentors on and off the pitch. Sam was the tour mum, and managed the welfare of the kids, so well organised and can multi task better than anyone I know.

This tour has given Riva so much confidence. The challenge for Riva was meeting new people and becoming a team from the get go. It wasn't difficult at all, the boys on the trip were really lovely, they were welcoming supportive of each other and their new team mates.

At first I was really nervous and excited about going on the cricket tour, because I didn't know the boys that well and I knew they were older than me.  This wasn't a problem though, they were so friendly, and encouraged me to play my best.

I can't believe I got training tips from one of the best cricket coaches in the world! Gary Kirsten, all my family were really jealous when I told them.

Woody was a great coach too, he was fair and saw that I better at bowling than at keeping, and I was so happy when I got my first wicket!

Kieran was really nice he was like a big brother to me, always cheering and supporting me.

Sam was really really nice, she always listened and cared for all of us.

I miss the music sessions on the minibus, I miss the team chants, I miss my time in South Africa.

Thank you x
